Research study for teens living with type 1 diabetes

Federation University Australia are looking for young people living Type 1 diabetes to participate in an online study.  The study aims to explore of the experiences of teenagers with diabetes to better understand the factors that contribute to improved physical and psychological health outcomes. It is envisaged that the results of the study will provide information that will help teenagers, their families and health care professionals understand self-acceptance of a diabetes diagnosis, leading to better self-management and seeking out support.

To take part in the study participants must be between the ages of 12-18 years and have been living with type 1 diabetes for a minimum of one year. The study involves completing an anonymous online questionnaire which will take approximately 20-25 minutes. Parental consent is required if you are under the age of 16. In order to gain parental consent please ensure your parents read the information contained at the start of the survey and have given you permission.

The data collected will not require you to provide any personally identifying information to ensure anonymity.
